This card is one that we made at my last Hostess Club meeting (we meet monthly on the Second Saturday at 2 pm of each month). If you are ever in the Greater Houston area, or near the Bryan-College Station area of Texas and want to try it out, please contact me and I'll give you all the details.
This card is a CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit).
- Score Bermuda Bay at 5 ½ and fold.
- Assemble the central cluster: Adhere the four colored squares on the 3 ½” black square. I left space between the squares so that it has a windowpane look – I recommend a tiny bit of adhesive, check the fit and then permanently glue it.
- Using the Springtime Impressions framelits (butterfly and flower), cut 3 little flowers and the butterfly out of black scraps of cardstock.
- Stamp “IT’S YOUR DAY” on the bottom right of the card front and *inside*, stamp “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” (Blueberry Bushel ink).
- Tie a yellow ribbon ‘round an old oak tr…no, I mean, tie it around the bottom between the butterfly cluster and the stamped sentiment. Write something sappy on it, sign it and give it to one you love… even if it isn’t their birthday!
I hope you enjoy the card, and please feel free to let me know if you tried a different color combination, framelit/punch or other adaptation that you love!
