VC-Rocks ~ Blog Hop #1!

It's that time again! Time for VC-Rocks! If you don't know about VC-Rocks, it is a virtual celebration of the changeover from the old Stampin' Up! year to the new as the new catalog comes out.

This blog hop celebrates all things old.

I created a card for my monthly stampers that uses some "old".

My sister was the hostess for this month, and this card is done in shades of purple, Connie's long-time favorite color. Colors used include Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant and Blackberry Bliss (as my granddaughters walk into my house with purple mouths and hands full of blackberries, lol - it is that time of year!).

The card front and envelope back are stamped with the lace flower stamp from Petal Potpourri (which is retiring), and the sentiment is from Feel Goods (which is NOT retiring right now). We also stamped the envelope flap for fun! The white piece on the front of the card is cut to 3 3/4 x 5 and is mounted on a piece of Elegant Eggplant cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, which is mounted a Perfect Plum card base (5.5 x 8.5) with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Inside, I used a small piece of washi tape and attached the die cut banner stamped with a stamp from Perfect Pennants (also not retiring yet).

I hope you enjoy this card and would love to see what you make with Petal Potpourri before it is gone gone GONE!

The card is great but love the extra touch of the envelope flap! I need to take the time to do something like that more often.

I love the use of the washi tape. I never think to use it that way.
